Recently, we have been selected for investment by the Water Access Acceleration Fund (W2AF). Based in France, W2AF is the world’s first water-focused fund, managed by Incofin Investment Management in Belgium. The fund boasts of an impressive roster of Limited Partners including Danone, US-IFC, Norfund, IFU, BNP Paribas, and Aqua4All.
Our association with W2AF marks an important milestone as Rite Water Solutions became their first global investment. This support will enable us to scale up our drinking water and climate tech solutions beyond India, particularly in African regions where access to clean drinking water remains a challenge.
In addition to accelerating our growth, this investment will further enhance our commitment to ESG standards, reinforcing our position as a pioneer in the water sector’s ESG space.
Since its inception, Rite Water Solutions has been privileged to attract international investors who have recognized and supported our mission. Our journey with global investors began in 2014 when the UK’s Department for International Development (now FCDO UK) funded us through SIDBI Ventures’ Samriddhi Fund. This early investment was not just a testament to our potential but also a catalyst for our growth.
This backing enabled us to expand rapidly across low-income states in India, delivering clean water to underserved communities. It also provided us with the resources to develop and strengthen our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) policies. At a time when ESG was a relatively new concept in India, Rite Water Solutions was a pioneer, becoming one of the first water companies in the country to receive an ESG rating from esteemed professional services firm PwC in 2014.
Our commitment to operational excellence and impactful solutions led to a successful and profitable exit for the Samriddhi Fund, further reinforcing our reputation as a reliable and sustainable venture.
