Rite Water has set up solar pumping based water supply schemes in small & micro villages also known as mini water supply schemes. The schemes includes following components:
Drilling of borewells / tubewells
Installation of Solar submersible Pump (up to 5 hp, 5000 Wp)
Construction of Pump House
Construction of RCC Over head tank
Laying Distribution pipeline network
Providing House hold connections
Some of these schemes implemented in the most backward regions of Jharkhand state under Workd Bank Funding have been a boon to villagers who had no access to electricity and were dependent on public stand posts or handpumps for their water needs. Now they have treated water at their doorsteps.
As the water supply scheme is powered by solar energy, there is a great savings on electric bills which has been a big challenge for similar electricity based schemes, making the solar schemes sustainable for small habitations and villages.
