Sea Water Electro
Chlorination Systems

About the Solution

Chloropac’s “Always Clean” Concentric Tubular Electrodes continuously maintain a flow a velocity of around 2 m/s and turbulent flow over the total electrode surface (approx. 15,000 Reynolds number) which carries insoluble deposits of calcium and magnesium hydroxide out of the systems and thereby eliminates the need for backflushing and acid washing The Chloropac unique cell electrodes are made from titanium tubes for the longest operating life.

About the Solution

The Chloropac unique cell electrodes are made from titanium tubes for the longest operating life. The titanium tubular anodes are platinum coated using our own technique. Chloropac ‘s Concentric Tubular Electrodes have a guaranteed anode life in excess of five years. Electrocatalytic has thousands of cells in use, and many of these have been refurbished for a further five-year operational cycle.

The Chloropac design provides for easy monitoring of the conditions of each pair of electrodes by measuring individual cell voltages and by visual inspection of electrodes. The electrodes are easily inspected, as they are not sealed in a vessel. The Chloropac outer titanium tube is the cell vessel. Competitors using plastic, FRP or rubber lined steel containers to enclose the electrodes cannot offer the same accessibility.
